5th graders with big hearts

One of Brenden's fifth grade classrooms won 500 books in a contest. The class donated all 500 books to 4 different organizations because they wanted to help more than one organization. They donated to Lutheran Social Services, Job and Family Services, another local organization I can't remember then name of, and Children's Hospital in memory of their friend and classmate Paige Weaver who died in 2008 from a brain tumor and she spent a lot of time at Children's during her fight. Wow. I'm speechless and so proud of these guys. To remember and honor Paige that way is amazing. And to think of the kids in the community as well who can use these books...What a great bunch of 5th graders we have at Tarhe Elementary. I'm honored to be a parent of one of them.
